6 Amazing Versions of Tic-Tac-Toe to Blow Your Mind!
We’ve all played Tic Tac Toe in some form or the other in our lives. A game that first taught me to think about what the other person may do and how to prevent that move earlier. Strategy, Math, and Logic all combined!
But even something as mundane as this game has so many variations built on top of it! We’ve tried to find you 6 of them that you’d really enjoy!
Plain old Tic Tac Toe - Three in a row. No surprises here.
Three Dimensional Tic Tac Toe - This is slightly harder. You can make three in a row in any dimension. One on top of the other, diagonally, on the same level, etc.
Four X Four Tic Tac Toe - One extra row and one extra column. Here there are a few variations in the way points can be awarded. For example, you get one point for having all four corners. Or 2 points for having all four in a row. Try it out here.
Misere Tic Tac Toe - Also called Inverse Tic Tac Toe or Toe Tac Tic. :D The game is simple If you get three in a row you lose.
Wild Tic Tac Toe - Every turn you can choose to either put an X or put an O. First to complete a row wins. It looks so different when you complete this one.
ULTIMATE Tic Tac Toe - Want someone to play this with me! You play 3 x 3 tic tac toe, in a 3 x 3 grid. If you win three overall games in a row you win the ultimate tic tac toe.
There are hundreds of more versions of tic tac toe! Look them up!
